Sheltering Tree, Family Tree

I was recently asked to make a birthday card for a 75 year old male.  I had no idea where to start so asked a few more questions to see what their interests were.

I was told he loved looking into his family tree, so I used this idea for the basis of the card.  Sheltering Tree stamp set was the first stamp set that came to mind.

Here is what I came up with …

I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Guy Greetings stamp set. I’ve done a bit of sponging in the background for the sky and grass.

A fairly simple card, but I think I met the brief.
