Ok, so I’m a bit late with this one as it is actually for last week’s CASEing the Catty #CTC142 which cased the Love and Sympathy section of the Annual Catalogue which can be found on pages 86-101.
I was actually interstate last week catching up with family and friends for my “big” birthday (yes, I’m getting old! He he). While I was there I managed to catch up with a fellow team member of the Midnight Inklings for a little crafting. We chatted a lot but managed to make a few things. I made this card then, but haven’t had time to blog it yet.
Here’s the card I CASE’d from page 90.
I took some elements from the card but made it my own. I started with a Whisper White card base and layered that with a Smoky Slate mat which I had embossed with the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to replicate the Layered Leaves embossing in the example. I decided to use the circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits rather than the banner but placed it in the same location on the card.
Here is what I came up with …
I stamped the ribbon from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set in Smoky Slate ink onto Pink Pirouette cardstock and cut it out using the matching Framelits. I stamped the sentiment from the same set, directly onto the circle in Pink Pirouette ink. I finished the card off with a few Metallic Enamel Shapes. Here is a close up.
A simple, yet effective card. I’ll be back soon with my card for this week’s challenge.
Until next time, happy stamping
Michelle
