CTC459 – From Lavender to Daisies

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge. Yes, it’s that time of the week again. Can you believe it is March already? This year is definitely flying by. I’m hoping to be able to join in again next week, but then I’ll be missing for a few weeks as I won’t have internet access or the time to make any cards. For this week’s challenge we are casing the Perennial Lavender section of the January to April 2024 Mini Catalogue, that you can find on pages 23-31.

There are a number of projects in this section that you could choose to case, but I decided to case the wrapped present and tag that you can see in the bottom left of the image below, which is from page 24. Rather than a wrapped present, I decided to turn it into a card. I have the Perennial Postage stamp set and coordinating Perennial Postage Dies, however I don’t have the Painted Lavender bundle so switched out the lavender for daisies, or whatever flower you think it might be.

I started with a Sweet Sorbet card base and added a layer of the daisy patterned DSP from the Bee Mine DSP. Before adhering this to the card base I attached the Sweet Sorbet 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon like you would tie up a present. The ‘tag’ was made using the Perennial Postage Dies with the sentiment coming from the Perennial Postage stamp set and stamped in Granny Apple Green. The stems and flowers came from the Bee My Valentine stamp set and used Granny Apple Green, Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet in full and stamped off strength. It was great to see the card come together so quickly.
