CTC330 – It’s SAB time

Well it’s Sunday night again, already, which means that it’s time for another CASEing the Catty Challenge. It also means that it is also Sale-a-bration time again. That’s right! This year instead of having Sale-a-bration for 3 months at the beginning of the year, Stampin’ Up!® decided to do Sale-a-bration twice during the year for 2 months each. So for every $90 you spend on the Annual or Mini Catalogue, you can grab a freebie from the SAB catalogue (some items are with a $180 spend). So this week we are CASEing the August/September SAB catalogue.

I decided to CASE the card at the top of the image below using the Counting Sheep stamp set and coordinating Sheep Dies. You can get these two items for free when you spend $180 (before S&H) from the Annual or new mini Catalogue. And aren’t the sheep just the cutest?

I decided to keep the main theme and elements similar but used a more subtle colour palette and moved some things around. I started with a White cardbase and used my Blending Brushes with some Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green inks to create the background.

I stamped the sheep and party hat from the Counting Sheep stamp set onto white cardstock and coloured them in using Blends™ before cutting them out with the coordinating Sheep Dies. Also in the dies are the fence pieces, sun, balloon and the pieces that I used for clouds. You’ll see in the original card that they used these pieces for small bushes/grass rather than clouds. The texture on the fence posts adds that bit extra too. It is great that they can be used for either.

Next up is Rachel with her creation using the SAB catalogue as her inspiration. Keep hopping around to see all of the great projects the design team has come up with this week.

You don’t need to have any of the SAB products yet to join in. Why not pick a project you like and use whatever products you have. Make sure you share it on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
