CTC289 – CASE a Halloween Project

Hello and welcome to yet another Sunday and another CASEing the Catty Challenge.  You may have hopped on over from Shannon who is over in WA with her CASE or you may be starting here.  Either way, enjoy the hop and keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s projects for this week.

This week we are CASEing a Halloween Project from the Mini Catalogue.  Can you believe it is almost Halloween?!?  This year has definitely been bit of a crazy year and has flown by.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  With that in mind, I decided to case the project in the image above, but turned it into a Christmas card.

I started with a Cherry Cobbler square card base and added a mat of Whisper White which I had embossed with the Bricks & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  For the 4 squares I used some of the DSP from the ‘Tis the Season DSP pack.  The sentiment on the top left square comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and was stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  I then used the Banners Pick a Punch on each end.

The Christmas stockings on the top right square come from host stamp set A Merry Hello.  This is a two-step stamp set and I used the Shaded Spruce and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the infill image.  The Ho Ho Ho sentiment comes from the Little Treats stamp set and I used the Turnovers stamp set for Christmas decoration on the bottom right.  The Shaded Spruce square is embossed with one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder.

Next up is Julia with her CASE of a Halloween Project.  Keep hopping around until you have seen all of the design team’s creations.

Do you celebrate Halloween?  Do you have kids or grandkids that go Trick or Treating?  Will that even be happening this year?  What will you create using a Halloween project for your inspiration?  Will it be something for Halloween or another occasion?  We’d love to see what you create so please share it on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle

  1. So clever to convert into a card – and what a super clever card idea to have little panels !! I think this would be a fabulous beginner project with little achievable elements to make a glorious whole! Great work!!

  2. The bricks are a fabulous background for your squares. I love everything about this card! Trick or treating will certainly be different this year! I think it might be the end of it for my kids, as they are losing interest as they get older.
