CTC288 – Boho Indigo

Welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty and daylight savings if you are in a state that does daylight savings.  I love daylight savings as it is still light when you get home from work so you can go for a walk with the kids etc.  Whether you are starting here with me or have hopped on over from Julia’s creation, I hope you keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s creations for this week.

This week we are CASEing the Kits section of either the Annual or Mini Catalogue.  I decided to CASE the card in the bottom left corner of the image below.

Does the background look like one of the papers from the Boho Indigo DSP that you can see in the top right of the image above?  Well, its not.  I don’t have any of the Boho Indigo Product Medley, so I recreated the background by repeatedly stamping one of the triangles from The Right Triangle stamp set in Misty Moonlight. Don’t look too closely as you may see that I didn’t quite line them up the best in some places.  Nothing a little bit of Stampin’ Write Marker didn’t fix (to some extent).

I cut out a mat of Shimmery White cardstock using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  The vase was punched out in Crumb Cake using the Jar Punch and then run through one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders.  I added a bow of Linen Thread that I tied around the neck of the jar.

The flowers come from the Free as a Bird stamp set and were stamped in first & 2nd generation Misty Moonlight and fussy cut out.  The leaf sprigs come from the Lovely You stamp set and were stamped in Night of Navy.  The sentiment comes from the Best Year stamp set and was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder onto Night of Navy cardstock.

Next up is Peta with her creation using the kits as her inspiration.  Keep hopping around and see all of the design team’s creations for this week’s challenge.

So what will you come up with?  We’d love to see what you create so please share it on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. Wowsers the background is awesome!! Brilliant case. I love the jar instead of the vase. All the details are fantastic.
