Happy Birthday Dad!

It may not be my dad’s 70th birthday today, but we have his party today, so I made a card for the special occasion and tried to come up with something to do with his life.

My dad used to play piano and had a baby grand piano at one stage so I decided to make a piano card.

I used some of the retired music DSP for the background and cut the shape of the piano freehand out of Basic Black cardstock.

The Whisper White keys measure 4cm x 1.5cm and the black keys are 2.5cm x 1cm.  The “Happy Birthday” sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set which I stamped in Memento Black ink and cut out using the Rectangles Stitched Framelits Dies before adhering it with Dimensionals™.  I finished the card off with a large “70” which I cut out of the Silver Glimmer Paper using the Retired Large Number Dies.

I hope my dad has a great time at the party tonight and that he has a lovely day on his actual birthday in a few days’ time.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
