CTC357 – SAB Case a Sketch

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty blog hop. It’s amazing how quickly the weeks fly by and we come back for another hop. This week we are CASEing the SAB catalogue again. Good news is that SAB has been extended by 2 weeks here in the South Pacific due to a delay in getting some of the products down here. So hopefully this hop gives you some more inspiration and you still have time to get some of the goodies for free with a $90 spend. This week we are casing the sketch from the butterfly card on page 6 of the SAB. I decided to use the Awesome Otters stamp set which is also in the SAB catalogue.

I’ve used the sketch before when I cased the SAB catalogue for a previous CTC Challenge. This time I decided to use it in a slightly different way. I added a layer of the Simply Marbleous DSP to the card front, then added a strip of Balmy Blue cardstock. I then got a strip of white cardstock and stamped the otter & party hat from the Awesome Otters stamp set and coloured them in with Blends™. The sentiment was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder onto Balmy Blue cardstock and cut out with one of the dies from the Beautiful Shapes Dies. I also added a few of the Faux Sea Glass Shapes to finish the card off.
