Social Stamping – In Colors

Welcome to another Social Stamping hop and this time we are showcasing the In Colors. We currently have 2 lots of In Colors, 2019 – 2021 In Colors which will be leaving us on 3rd May 2021 and we will get a new set, and the 2020 – 2022 In Colors which will carry over for one more year.

The 2019 – 2021 In Colors include Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray & Purple Posy and the 2020 – 2022 In Colors include Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Bumble Bee, Magenta Madness & Misty Moonlight. Rather than showcasing the retiring In Colors, I decided to create two cards combining an In Color from each set.

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base and then cut a mat of Seaside Spray that I ran through the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I then stamped the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set onto White cardstock and used sponge daubers to colour them with Seaside Spray & Misty Moonlight ink before using the Butterfly Duet Punch to punch them out. The sentiment comes from the Band Together stamp set.

My second card is similar to my first but has a lot more butterflies and I used Just Jade and Pretty Peacock inks with the sponge daubers. Some of the butterflies have just one colour sponged with it being darker and lighter in parts, and others have both colours combined together. I love how this is such a quick and simple way to colour the butterflies. The sentiment is on Just Jade and the embossed mat is Pretty Peacock. The sentiment was cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Next up is the amazing Sandra with her creation using the In Colors.

Keep hopping around to see all of the creations by some very talented demonstrators using the In Colors. If you get lost along the way click on the image below and it will take you to Kelly’s host blog post which has a full list of participants and links to their blogs.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. I love both these colours Michelle. I always loved pairing Seaside Spray with Misty Moonlight. I really like to use sponge daubers and I love what you have created here. That embossing folder looks great! Thanks for sharing! Mandy x

  2. Super gorgeous colouring with the sponge daubers – they look almost luminescent!! Both of these cards sing beautifully!!

  3. Oh so many butterfly sets- I forget to use these but now I’m reminded all over again how beautiful they are too. They will be missed when they retire soon too. I love your sponging and blending colours together, such gorgeous rich tones, and yes a great quick way to colour. Both Beautiful cards Michelle.

  4. Both cards are just beautiful, such lovely colour combos Michelle, clever to combine coordinating colours from both colour families.

  5. Two gorgeous cards Michelle. Love your butterflies with the sponge dauber blending of colour. The combination of depth and light is lovely. Just beautiful.
