Happy Easter everyone! These last few weeks have flown by. Things have been mega busy around here with work, the kids, building a shed and life in general. I’m so grateful to have these 4 days to celebrate Easter, get things sorted around the house and have a bit of time out from the normal daily rush.
For the past week or so, Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators have had the opportunity to look through the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue which will go live on 4th May 2021. It’s one of the privileges we get for being a demonstrator. I’m sure you will all find some lovely new goodies in there that you love. But that also means that we have to say goodbye to some of the products from the previous catalogue. That brings us to the next few weeks of challenges when we share our favourite retiring products, with this week being our Favourite Retiring Dies.
Whenever we get to choose our Favourite Retiring products, I’m always in two minds. I’d love to share with you my favourite, but I’ve probably used them lots and shared lots of products using them. Other retiring products I discover haven’t had much love, so feel I need to showcase these and some like this one could end up being a favourite but just had it’s run a little late.
I decided to use the Perfect Parcel Dies as I’d used one or two of the dies before, but hadn’t actually used the little box die. I created a little gift box using the Calypso Coral DSP from the upcoming Subtles 6×6″ DSP from the new annual catalogue. With the pattern on the DSP, I decided to keep it quite simple and tied a bow around it using the Misty Moonlight In Color 1/4″ Ribbon.
I then created a tag using the coordinating Parcels & Petals stamp set, again using Calypso Coral & Misty Moonlight. I heat embossed the sentiment and then used on of the other dies from the set to cut it out and attached with Dimensionals™ to give it a little dimension. I added some twine at the top in Night of Navy from the Well Suited Combo Pack and some retired twine from the Nature’s Twine Pack.
I filled the little box with some Lindt Easter Eggs and gave this little gift to an instructor who had been helping both of my kids during school swimming lessons over the past few weeks, as I was grateful for what she was able to achieve with both of my kids during that time.
Next up on the hop this week is Peta with her lovely neutral card. Keep hopping around to see lots of creations using retiring Dies. If you are wanting to get any of these, don’t leave it too long or you could miss out. Please let me know if I can help with anything.
We would love to see your creation using some retiring dies. Just add your creation to our Facebook page by clicking the image below. We’ll be back again next week to share some more retiring products with you.
Until next time, happy stamping
Michelle
What a lovely gift set. The box is so pretty on it’s own, but the gorgeous tag really lifts it to the next level.
A very cute gift box and tag, Michelle.
A very grateful instructor I’m sure! Super gift and cute tag.
Such a cute gift! I’m sure she appreciated it.
This is such a cutie!! Love the coordinating pair of box and card. Love love love.
