It’s a Party!

When it comes to kid’s birthday parties, I often have to make a birthday card last minute and when my son had a birthday party to go to (before all of this Coronavirus business started) I asked him what the birthday kid liked.  My son loves all things Mario at the moment, so he said Mario.  I’m not sure whether the birthday boy really liked it or not, but decided to make one anyway.

I decided to make the card look like Mario’s overalls. I cut the large piece and two strips of Blueberry Bushel cardstock and the cut the angled pieces on the strips to create the straps on the overalls.  I added the piece of Real Red cardstock for Mario’s top and punched out two circles in Pineapple Punch for the buttons.

I used the retired Little Letters Dies and cut out a W and put it upside down so that it looked like the “M” that Mario uses.

It ended up being a fairly quick card once I had the idea.

Until next time, happy stamping
