CTC375 – Favourite Retiring Product

Well here we are for yet another Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge. Can you believe that we are almost half way through 2022 already? Time flies when you are having fun and our family has definitely had a lot of fun over the past 2 months or so. Frozen the Musical was amazing last Sunday! Well it’s time to say farewell again to our Favourite Retiring Product from the January – June 2022 Mini Catalogue as the catalogue finishes up on the 30th June 2022. That means you only have 4 days left to get any of the goodies that are retiring with the catalogue.

With so many amazing products in the mini catalogue to choose from, those who know me know that I love a good mask so decided to use the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks this week as although I have used some of the masks in the pack, I hadn’t used the ones that actually layer together.

I decided to case the floral card on page 65 which you can see in the image above for my Mother-in-law’s 70th birthday card. I started by using the masks to create the floral centrepiece of my card. I used Highland Heather & Gorgeous Grape for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive for the leaves with my trusty Blending Brushes. I was really happy with how it turned out.

I cut the image out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then decided to use Petal Pink for the background panel so set to work with the Blending Brushes and ink, however it looked a little too orange against the Petal Pink cardstock so I ended up going with a Pale Papaya card base. The sentiment comes from the Celebrating You stamp set which happened to be on the same page of the catalogue and was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. A few rhinestones to finish off with and the card was done.
