CTC382 – SAB Sketch

I’ve just enjoyed a lovely 3 days at a Christmas card retreat in the Adelaide Hills run by the lovely Sharni Haines. It’s so nice just to get away from things and sit, chat and craft. It feels like you have no worries in the world for a little bit. As it started on Friday I had to be super organised this week to make sure I was ready to go before I went. This week we have a sketch challenge for you and we are casing the Hey You did it card from the SAB catalogue. You can see the card and the simplified sketch in the image below.

I previously cased this card a few weeks ago when we were CASEing the SAB catalogue so decided to do something a bit different this time with the sketch. As I mentioned I was at the Christmas retreat and we did Kris Kringle. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to decorate my Kris Kringle gift, rather than make a card.

I decided to flip the sketch on it’s side to suit my gift. I used 2 pieces of the Old Olive spotty DSP from the Design a Daydream DSP to wrap my present. I then added a strip of Old Olive cardstock and the Fa-la-la-la paper from the Santa Express DSP for the strip. I then stamped Santa’s train, smoke puffs, presents and tree from the Santa’s Delivery stamp set and coloured in the images using a variety of Blends™.

We also had Elf on the Shelf as a fun added activity at the retreat where we each took our elves and decorated them or used props for each day, so of course the Elf Approved sentiment was perfect to finish of the gift.

I can’t wait to see what everyone has done with this sketch this week. Make sure you keep hopping around and next up is fellow SA demo & birthday twin Tina with her cute creation.

What will you make with this sketch? Add your photo to our Facebook page as we’d love to see your creation.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. Your crafty weekend sounds like a great stress reliever. I’m sure you all had a lot of fun!
Lovely gift wrapping. I thought it was a card when I first looked. Too cute to unwrap.
