CTC376 – Case the new Mini Catalogue

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge blog hop. This week we are casing the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue which went live on 1st July 2022. I was hoping to have some of my new goodies from pre-order to share with you for this challenge but Australia Post had other thoughts on that and decided to send my box of goodies on a little holiday to regional SA instead. Hopefully next week I’ll have some new goodies to play with and share with you.

As I flipped through the catalogue I came across the window card on page 54 which you can see in the top left of the image below. I loved the texture of the embossing folder with the focal image front & centre so decided to case this card using the products I had. One of the mums (and their family) from school are moving interstate at the end of next week so I decided to make this card for her.

I started with a Polished Pink card base and added a mat of Polished Pink that I’d run through the Bricks & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Before adhering it to the card base, I used some White Craft ink and a sponge to put a little of this over the top to make some of the bricks stand out a little more. Hopefully you can see that in the photo.

I then used the Oceanfront stamp set to create the scene on Basic White cardstock and framed it using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I had trouble finding a suitable sentiment in my current stamp sets so I used this one from the recently retired (only 3 days ago) On The Horizon stamp set. This was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder onto Melon Mambo cardstock to stand out a little against the Polished Pink background.

Next up is Peta & Marvi with their creation for this week. I can’t wait to see what everyone has made this week as I think we’ll get to see quite a few new products, which is always exciting. Make sure you keep hopping around.

Even if you don’t have any of the products from the new catalogue (like I didn’t), it doesn’t mean you can’t join in this week’s challenge. Use a layout, technique, colour combo etc from a project within the new mini catalogue and don’t forget to share your project on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
