Happy birthday or a small tweak and it becomes Happy Father’s Day

I’m sharing a masculine birthday card today that I created for the CASEing the Catty Challenge #CTC193 which is caseing the Graceful Glass Suite Section of the catalogue on pages 164 – 179.

I decided to use the pens from the Crafting Forever stamp set on page 179. This is the card I came up with …

I started with a Rich Razzleberry card base and layered this with a mat of Crumb Cake.  I randomly stamped the pens in Crumb Cake onto this mat. I added the Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon and stamped Happy Birthday in Rich Razzleberry.  Raised on dimensionals I added another set of the pens which I stamped in Versamark, heat embossed in White embossing powder and then coloured in with Watercolour Pencils.  All finished off with a little Crumb Cake sponging around the edge.

After making this card, I decided to make another version using the similar style and stamp but changed up the colours. This time I used a Bermuda Bay card base and the Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon in a portrait orientation.

Which one do you prefer?  You could easily swap out the “Happy Birthday” sentiment with “Happy Father’s Day” to make this into a great Father’s Day card.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
