CTC407 – Sale-a-bration

Here we are again, Sunday evening and another CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge. The week has very much been up and down, with unfortunately a lot more downs, but I somehow managed to fit a card in.

This week we are casing the Sale-a-bration catalogue. There is only 10 days left of Sale-a-bration so make sure you don’t miss out on the freebies available for every $90 you spend. I decided to case the “hello” card that you can see in the image below. I decided to keep the different layered panels of DSP and cardstock, the sentiment and ribbon underneath.

I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base and then alternated this with the vegetable DSP from the Day at the Farm DSP that you can currently get for free in Sale-a-bration. The sentiment comes from the Thanks a Bunch stamp set (another freebie during SAB) and I heat embossed this onto some Basic Gray cardstock before cutting it out using the Beautiful Shapes Dies. I also added a few carrots from the Thanks a Bunch stamp set. The only Cherry Cobbler ribbon I had was a retired one, but I think it works well underneath the sentiment.

This card is a lot darker than my normal cards, but I think it still works. Next up on the hop is Rachel with her case of the SAB Catalogue.

Sale-a-bration is a great time of year. I mean, who doesn’t like getting freebies? Whether you have managed to pick up a few or don’t have any of the items, you can still use the SAB catalogue as your inspiration for this week’s challenge. Don’t forget to share a photo of your creation on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle

  1. I knew it was only a matter of time before someone paired the carrots with this paper – go you, Michelle!
