CTC398 – A Christmas Twist

Welcome to another Sunday evening and another Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop. I’m so glad that I was organised and had made my card for this week’s hop in advance as this week and next week are super crazy between work and the last weeks of school with all of the additional activities that brings. I was lucky enough to be able to attend my kids’ sports day this week and it was a great day. Even though I think I got more of a workout than them as I was running between both of their activities trying to not miss them. I think I did pretty well and only missed out on seeing 3 out of their 24 events.

This week we are casing a card from the Annual Catalogue and giving it a Christmas twist. I decided to case the daffodil card which is in the centre towards the bottom of the image above. I decided to swap out the daffodils for a Christmas tree but kept a lot of the layout the same.

I started with a Real Red card base and added a mat of Garden Green and a smaller mat of Real Red. If you look at the original card, there was a stamped panel that goes across the top and bottom pieces on the front so I repeatedly stamped the bauble images from the Trimming the Tree stamp set in Real Red on this panel. The tree was also stamped from the same stamp set and the pot & baubles were cut out using the coordinating dies that were available during the Perfect Partners promotion a few months ago.

Next up this week is Peta with her Christmassy cup of tea.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
