CTC395 – Trees for sale

Well, here we are, Sunday evening again. And what a week it has been. I should have been having fun with lots of other Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Sydney yesterday at the first in person event in 3 years! As this blog was going live, I should have been on a plane flying back home. But, after our family had escaped Covid since it started, my husband tested positive on Wednesday which then caused so many carry on effects. Although I was still negative, I couldn’t take the risk to fly interstate and mingle with lots of others at an event in case I did test positive later on and had passed it on to others. So instead, I spent the weekend at home with the kids and trying our best to stay away from hubby.

This week we are casing the Gingham Cottage Suite from page 58 of the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue. As I didn’t have any of the products from this Suite, I decided to case the card in the top left with the 3 wreaths and black & white checked background.

To start with I was going to use the black & white Christmas tree DSP from the Celebrate Everything DSP to replace the checked DSP on the original card, but the trees got lost so I swapped it out with the Fa-la-la DSP from the Santa Express DSP and think it worked so much better.

I used the Trees for Sale stamp set and stamped the trees in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, Trees for Sale sign in Crumb Cake and the puppy dog in Early Espresso. I cut all of these out using the Tree Lot Dies that were free during Sale-a-bration. I figure if I still have these lying around, I may as well use them rather than fussy cutting all of the images!

The card base is Evening Evergreen and the sentiment comes from the Framed & Festive stamp set that is currently available to coordinate with the early released Framed Florets bundle from the upcoming January – May 2023 Mini Catalogue (which they launched at the demonstrator event yesterday – I guess I’ll have to wait a bit longer to see it).

Next up on the hop this week is the lovely Rebecca who keeps this hop going so that you can get some inspiration each week. We are a bit light on with our hop this week as a lot of the design team have been travelling for the Onstage demonstrator event, but we should have more back next week (with some maybe even sharing new products that they got at the event)

As always, you don’t have to have the Suite that we are casing to join in. I didn’t. We’d love to see whatever you come up with, so make sure you share a photo of your creation on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping
