It’s Sunday evening again and I hope you all had a lovely Easter and that you are enjoying another long weekend this weekend. Don’t you love when public holidays line up and you get 3 four day weeks in a row? Welcome to our farewell hoorah for the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. The 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalogue goes live 3rd May 2022, so it isn’t much longer to go until you can get your hands on all of the goodies from the new catalogue.
When you have the whole catalogue to case, where do you start? I ended up deciding on the suit card in the centre of the image below from page 51.
I started with a Basic Black card base and cut another mat of black the same size as the card front. I used the Suit & Tie Dies to cut out the triangle at the top and then on scrap pieces of black I cut out the bow tie, jacket collar and pocket piece. I then ran the main piece through the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and added some Wink of Stella to the other pieces. You might be able to see the sparkle a little better in the second photo.
I then used some Just Jade cardstock and cut a base piece, the shirt collar, middle strip & buttons. I added a little Just Jade ink to the buttons to make them stand out a little more. Some glue and Dimensionals™ to stick it all together and the card was finished.
I even decorated the inside of my card this time! The sentiment & bow tie come from the Handsomely Suited stamp set.
One card really isn’t enough when you are saying goodbye to an entire annual catalogue, is it? So I decided to make a second card this week using the centre card in the image below as my inspiration.
I felt that the image tended to blend away into the background in the one from the catalogue so I decided to use a bright colour instead. I decided on a Gorgeous Grape card base and then added a strip of Gorgeous Grape DSP from the Brights DSP pack as the checkered part at the bottom of the original card. The From All of Us stamp set was used for the focal image and was coloured in with Blends™. I used the sentiment and the Rhinestones to represent the stamped hearts and embellishments on the original card.
Next up is Monique with her farewell to the annual catty. Keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s projects and make sure you grab any of the retiring products that you want before they are gone.
We’d love for you to join in this week’s challenge. Which is your favourite that you are going to miss the most? Share a photo of your creation on our Facebook page. You never know, you may be chosen as this week’s winner.
Until next time, happy stamping
