CTC361 – Hello Ladybug

Welcome to yet another Sunday evening and another CASEing the Catty Challenge and Blog Hop. Is it just me or do these weeks seem to by flying by quicker and quicker but yet you still don’t seem to get everything done you want to. Well this week we are CASEing an animal card from either the Annual or January – June 2022 Mini Catalogue. There are so many to choose from and some of them are so cute that I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created.

I was tossing up between a few cards and then came across this green deer card on page 47 of the Mini Catalogue. I loved all the different elements and textures on the card even though it was mainly the one colour.

I started with an Old Olive card base and then cut a mat 1/2cm smaller that I ran through the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. I then cut out the multiple circles from the Layering Circle Dies and stamped the different images from the Hello Ladybug stamp set, some in the middle, some towards one edge etc. I then used a sponge dauber to add some extra Old Olive ink around the edges. To make it easier to place and cut out the Stitched Rectangle, I used some Press n Seal that I had from my visit to Auckland for an Onstage Live event a few years ago. This let me cut the circles and the rectangle behind in one go and kept my circles together when I added Dimensionals™.

To finish off my card I added a Ladybug that I punched out using the Ladybug Builder Punch and stamped the spots on the back from the Hello Ladybug stamp set.

Next up is Julia with her animal project. Keep hopping around to see all of the projects. I wonder what animals we will see.

Which is your favourite animal project from either catalogue that you can’t wait to case? We’d love to see what you come up with so please add your photo to our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
