Welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty. Can you believe it is October already?!? For those of you who are enjoying a long weekend this weekend, I hope you have a lovely break. It is a long weekend here in SA, but because I work in a national call centre, I’m working tomorrow. I did manage to spend a lovely day with my family today though.
This week we are casing the sketch from the Thinking of You card in the challenge image above. You can also find the simplified sketch below. Aren’t sketches great? You can make your card any theme, any colour, use any stamp set or other products you like. Just use the sketch as your guide for the layout.
I started with an Old Olive card base and added a mat of the cute DSP from the Sweet Stockings DSP. Isn’t it just the cutest? I then stamped the stocking, puppy dog and santa hat from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set and coloured them in with Blends™. There are dies to cut them out, however I borrowed this stamp set a few weeks ago when I was at my retreat and stamped the images so that I could create something later on (not too much later this time) so fussy cut them out. I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut out the Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive circles. That sentiment from the same stamp set is so cute too. A little bit of Wink of Stella on the white parts of the santa hat just added that little bit of sparkle.
Next up on the hop tonight is Rachel with her take on this sketch. I can’t wait to see what all of the design team came up with. Make sure you keep hopping around to see all of this week’s creations.
We’d love to see what you come up with using this sketch. Make sure you click the image below which will take you to our Facebook page and add a photo of your creation.
Until next time, happy stamping
Michelle
Super cute!! I’ve just used that DSP on a card, and it’s so much fun! Your puppy looks very sweet popping out of the stocking.
Totally adorable and soo soo cute – your colouring and cutting are sublime!! Love love love your card!!
This is a great combo of stamps and paper for your card Michelle. Luckily three of us didn’t use the same idea -LOL!
Can’t go wrong with these little critters. Fabulous feature and nice choice for the background dsp
How cute is your card! I love the stocking on the scallop circle.
