CTC304 – Blueberry Love

Welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty. I hope you’ve had a lovely week. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and this week’s challenge might be perfect for you to create that card for a special someone. This week we are CASEing the Love You Always Suite on pages 10-13 of the Mini Catalogue.

I chose to case the black & pink love box at the top of the image below from page 10 however I decided to turn it into a card instead. I also decided to move away from the love / valentines theme.

I decided to use the Berry Blessings Stamp Set and coordinating Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper bundle that you can get for free during Sale-a-bration with a $180 spend.

I started with a Whisper White card base and added a layer the same size as the card front with the blue checked DSP from the Berry Delightful DSP. I added the banner piece in Balmy Blue which I ran through the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I stamped the leaves and blueberries from the Berry Blessings Stamp set onto some scrap card stock in Garden Green & Pear Pizzazz and Pacific Point & Balmy Blue before fussy cutting it out. I seem to have been doing a lot of fussy cutting lately which is strange as I normally try to avoid it.

I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment in Versamark onto Pacific Point cardstock and heat embossing it with White Embossing Powder and cutting it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies. I also added the ribbon/bow at the top using the white ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.

Next up on the hop this week Julia with her lovely collection of cards.

Whether you choose to make a Valentine’s Day card for your special someone, or whether you choose to make a card for a totally different occasion like I did, we’d love to see what you come up with using one of the projects from the Love You Always Suite as your inspiration. Make sure you share it on our Facebook Page which you can go to by clicking the image below.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
