Sympathy

Over the past few weeks I have unfortunately had to make a few sympathy cards.  It makes things even harder at the moment when people aren’t even able to say goodbye properly due to border restrictions and COVID restrictions as to the number of people who can attend funerals.

I wanted to let these people know that I was thinking of them during this difficult time.  Sympathy cards are always difficult to make and I decided that I would make one that was a little different to the standard sympathy cards.

I decided to use the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and stamped the main flower image and leaf in Memento ink before using a Black Stampin’ Write Marker to draw the stem.  I then coloured the image in with Blends™.  I used light & dark Old Olive for the stem and leaf.  For the petals I used light & dark Pumpkin Pie, light & dark Mango Melody and light & dark Daffodil Delight.  For the centre of the sunflower I used light Soft Suede and dark Crumb Cake.

The sentiment from both the outside & inside of the card come from the Timeless Tulips stamp set.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
