CTC284 – Happy Bday Dies

Whether you have hopped on over from Judy’s creation or starting here, welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty.  Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers and father figures out there.  I hope you have all had a lovely day.  This week we are CASEing the Die Bundle section of the Annual Catalogue on pages 173 – 179.

I decided to case the “Hey There” card at the top of page 178 of the Annual Catalogue.

I stamped the background straight onto a folded Whisper White card base. I used the Pattern Play stamp set and repeatedly stamped the image in the different colours to create the rainbow background.  I used Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape.  The stamp just missed reaching the full way across the card when it got to the middle colours,  so as I knew I was going to be putting the sentiment in the middle,  I stamped it from both ends and left a tiny gap in the middle as it would be hidden.  That way it didn’t matter if it wasn’t lined up exactly.

The letters were cut out using the Playful Alphabet Dies and adhered them to Foam Adhesive Sheets and cut them out so that the letters are raised.  I then cut the stars out using the smallest stars from the Stitched Stars Dies.

I wasn’t sure whether to add the white mat or not.  Which version do you prefer?  I ended up sticking it down with the white mat.

Next up on the hop for this week is Siobhan.  Make sure you keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s creations using the Die Bundle section of the Annual Catalogue.

You don’t have to have the die bundles to join in this week.  Just use one of the cards from this section as your inspiration. We’d love to see what you create so please share it on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle

  2. Love your card, Michelle. The rainbow background looks fabulous and I think the white border helps it to pop. Such a great design for guys and teens.
