Welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty. This week we are CASEing the colours from the Trimming the Town DSP. These colours are Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Early Espresso & Whisper White.
I started off with an Early Espresso card base then added a mat of Pool Party and another mat of Early Espresso that I ran through the Big Shot in the Wrapped in Texture embossing Folder. I stamped the images of from the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set onto Whisper White and then coloured them with Blends™. I did sneak in a little grey for the beard and ivory for the faces so felt like I cheated the colour scheme a little so decided to make another card.
This time I stuck with only these colours. I used an Old Olive card base and added a mat of Poppy Parade which I ran through the other folder from the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders. I then stamped the trees from the Tree Angle stamp set in Misty Moonlight, Pool Party, Poppy Parade and Old Olive with the tree stumps in Early Espresso. I then cut them out using the Stitched Triangles Dies. The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.
Next up is Lauren. I can’t wait to see what she has created with this colour combo. Make sure you keep hopping around to check out all of the design team’s creations.
What will you create using these colours? We’d love to see what you create so please share it on our Facebook page.
Until next time, happy stamping
Michelle
2 great cards!! I love the colouring of your gnomes. I also love your tree card, I think I might need the triangle dies!
Love the triangle trees! What a great pair of cards – and I think a little sneaking extra colours was needed too for the colouring! Totally gorgeous.
Straight up and I love the Gnome card! Great use of the colour palette over both your lovely cards.
Love those gnomies! Amazing colouring, and I love the dark base, it really frames the gnome scene beautifully. Your second card is so clean and simple and effective. I love the patterns on the trees. “) Siobhan.
Your gnomes are totally adorable, and I would not have even noticed your ‘cheat’ colours if you hadn’t mentioned it!
