Whether you have hopped on over from Siobhan’s creation or are starting here, welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty. This week we are CASEing the projects from the Punch Bundle Section of the Annual Catalogue on pages 168 – 169.
I decided to case the card in the image below which is the second from the top. I don’t have the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch, so I used one of the dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to represent the postage stamp punch.
I started with a Crumb Cake card base. I then cut out rectangles with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies in Soft Sea Foam, Blushing Bride, Highland Heather and So Saffron. I then used another Punch Bundle, the Lovely You Bundle and stamped 3 of the stamp images from the Lovely You stamp set in the same ink colour as the cardstock on each piece.
I trimmed the pieces at the top and bottom. The sentiment comes from the same stamp set and I used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch on the ends. I finished it off with a few sequins.
Next up is Judy with her creation using the Punch Bundles for inspiration. Keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s projects for this week.
As you can see, you don’t have to have the punches in the bundles. So what will you come up with? We’d love to see what you create so please share it on our Facebook page.
Until next time, happy stamping
Michelle
I love this michelle, I thought this was the postage stamp punch when I saw it. Great idea to use those dies, looks amazing.
Great CASE, Michelle. The scalloped rectangles work so well in this design.
Your ‘stamps’ are so pretty, Michelle, it doesn’t matter how you made them, its a clever idea.
I love these cards
Great idea to use that die as a substitute for the punch. I love the tone on tone stamping and your colour combination – so bright and happy! Gorgeous card. 🙂 Siobhan.
The tonal stamping is just lovely. And what clever innovation to use the dies! Gorgeous card.
I love the pretty colour combo you have used. How clever to use the dies instead of the punch!! I might have to case that idea!
