CTC272 – A bunch of thanks

Welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty.  Luckily I had been organised and ahead with making my cards as this week I haven’t been able to do any crafting as it was my daughter’s 5th birthday so have spent a lot of time baking, cooking, decorating her room and so on as well as working.  We were lucky that we were able to have some family over yesterday to help her celebrate due to the easing of restrictions.  I’m hoping I can get into some crafting again during this coming week as my new goodies arrived on Friday and I haven’t even had a chance to look at them.

This week we are CASEing the flowers from the new Annual catalogue and I chose to case the Sunflowers on page 13 and more specfically the Crumb Cake card.

I started with a Garden Green card base.  I then cut a Crumb Cake mat and then repeatedly stamped the smaller sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set all over.  I use the Watercolour Pencils to colour them in using Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and White for the petals, Crumb Cake in the centre of the flower and Garden Green and Granny Apple Green for the leaves.

I then added some Braided Linen Trim and stamped the sentiment in Garden Green on Whisper White cardstock before putting it into the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

There are a number of flowers in the new catalogue.  I wonder which flowers Shannon will use or which floral card she will use as her inspiration.  Shannon is next up, then keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s creations for this challenge.

With so many flowers to pick from in the new annual catalogue, you don’t have an excuse not to join in this week.  Even if you don’t have any of the new floral stamps, there are some that carried over, or just use one of the floral projects from the catalogue for your inspiration and use a different stamp set.  Please share your creation on our Facebook page by clicking the image below.  We’d love to see what you have created and you don’t need a blog to be able to join in.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. Gorgeous colouring, Michelle. I really must give that technique a try! I love the repeat stamping of the smaller daisy, it’s a gorgeous look. I hope your daughter had an awesome birthday – great timing to have a post iso-birthday so she could have a little celebration. Hopefully you get much more time this week to play with your new goodies. 🙂 Siobhan.

  2. Beautiful card michelle, I love colouring on crumb cake but I haven’t done it in a while – thanks for reminding me. Hope you’ve got your feet up kicking back after you busy weekend 🙂
