We are back here for another week of Social Stamping, thanks to the lovely Kelly Kent for hosting, and we are continuing for another few weeks. This week the theme is New (normal). We could look at how our life looks now as a restrictions are starting to ease. Life isn’t back to what we knew as normal, it’s a new normal. Or we could use new products or do our own take on the theme.
I decided to use a bundle that has carried over into this year’s Annual Catalogue, but is new to me as I only just got it with the Pre-order for the new catalogue. I’d been changing my mind as to whether I wanted to get it or not and when I saw it was carrying over, decided it was time to get it.
My card today is using some new to me products and the scene I created is what our new normal is looking a bit like. Spending more time with family, spending more time at home. Enjoying those moments together where you can forget about the rest of the world for a moment and enjoy the little things. It makes you realise what is really important in life.
I used sponge daubers with Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron inks to create the background. I then added the tree in Basic Black which I cut out using the Sweet Silhouette Dies and stamped the girl image from the Silhouette Scenes stamp set in Memento Black Ink. The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
Next up is the super talented Nicole and I can’t wait to see what she has created this time. Keep hopping around to see all of the creations.
If you get lost along the way at any point, click on the image below and it will take you to the main blog post for this host with the full list of participants and links.
Until next time, happy stamping

Love this! The more projects I see with this set the more I’m glad I bought it. Definitely one of my favourites at the moment. Your sponging looks gorgeous.
You’ve captured the essence of the theme perfectly with your beautiful card Michelle and lovely words – I love your sentiment choice!
I love it when something on your wishlist makes the cut for another year in the catalogue! And that sentiment is absolutely perfect on your gorgeous card. Kelly x
Having a set you love carry over is always a bonus! The sentiment is just perfect!
What a perfect card for right now! Love the colours and the sentiment and the silhouette! Gorgeous
The sentiment really does say it all. Fabulous set to use to capture the appreciation of our forced family time.
Beautiful card and I just love the sentiment, it’s so perfect for this new normal life we are now living in.
I love this bundle and you’ve teamed it perfectly with that background you’ve created. A great sentiment for the time and I think the extra family time is something we are going to look back on and really appreciate. 🙂 Siobhan.
