Parisian Beauty

The countdown is on with only 2 days until the new annual catalogue goes live.  If you are after any of the retiring items, tomorrow is your last chance to grab these before they are gone.  Please let me know if you would like to order anything.

When I got my first look at last year’s annual catalogue, the Parisian Beauty stamp set jumped out at me as I lived and worked in Paris for 9 months when I was younger.  I loved the Eiffel Tower and this was the perfect set for me.  So now that it’s retiring, I looked back at the cards I’ve made using it and I’m disappointed in myself that I haven’t used it enough.  So,  I decided to create another card before it retires (even though I will be keeping this one in my stash).

I thought I’d try to make a sort of Vintage / Shabby Chic style card so started with a Very Vanilla mat.  I stamped the Eiffel Tower in Soft Suede and then the two post mark images in Crumb Cake.  I then stamped the Fleur de Lis image repeatedly in stamped off Blushing Bride. The font stamp was stamped off twice in Crumb Cake before stamping it repeatedly.

I used a sponge dauber with Crumb Cake ink to create the older look, making it darker around the edges before adhering this to a Blushing Bride card base.  I decided to leave it with no sentiment as I thought it might take away from the style of card.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
