CTC271 – CASEing the new Catty Cover

Whether you have just hopped over from Tina’s wonder CASE of the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue Cover or are starting here, welcome to CTC271 and the first case of the new catalogue.  As the new catalogue doesn’t go live until the 3rd June, we are CASEing the Cover this week and look forward to sharing the rest of the catalogue with you over the coming weeks.

When I looked at the cover I changed my mind as to which card I was going to case from the one I originally chose.  I ended up caseing the card on the top right with the different strips of coloured cardstock with the images stamped over the top.  This is what I decided to use in my card.

I added strips of Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow to a Whisper White card base.  I then heat embossed the leaf/fern image from Daisy Lane stamp set with White Embossing Powder repeatedly over the card front.

The sentiment comes from the retiring Colourful Seasons stamp set which I cut out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  I added a few sequins and the card was done.

Next up is Judy with her take of a project from the new catalogue cover.

Are you excited about the new catalogue?  You should be!  You could case the colours, a technique, any aspect from one of the projects on the front cover.  We would love to see what you come up with, so please share it with us on our Facebook page by clicking the image below and adding it directly to the page. No blog needed, so no excuses not to join in!  Could your creation be chosen for this fortnight’s crew pick?

Until next time, happy stamping
