Welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty.  Whether you have hopped on over from Peta’s creation or starting here, make sure you keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s creations using these retiring favourites.

This fortnight we are CASEing our Favourite Retiring Punch or Dies.  I decided to use the   as it has been a little while since they have seen some love.  I decided I wanted to create a bright and bold stained glass window effect and came up with the below card.

I started with a Basic Black piece of cardstock which I cut to the same size as a card front and then cut out two of the half circle and four of the corner pieces from the Stained Glass Dies.  I then attached an adhesive sheet to the card front and placed the black piece on top.  I then cut each of the pieces in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Blueberry Bushel, Shaded Spruce and Rich Razzleberry being very careful to save all of the little negative pieces.  It took a little bit of patience and some tweezer work for some of the tiny pieces, but I then put all of the coloured pieces into the open space of the window cut outs.  I was really happy with how it turned out.

I didn’t want to take away from the stained glass windows so I kept the sentiment very simple which I cut out in Pumpkin Pie using the Well Written Dies.

Next up is the very talented Shannon and I can’t wait to see what she has come up with this week.  Keep hopping around to check out all of the design team’s projects.

We would love to see what you come up with so make sure you add your creation to our Facebook page by clicking the image below and adding it directly to the page. No blog needed, so no excuses not to join in!

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle

  1. Yep, this is super clever and really fun with all the colours, and the black background is a perfect foil. Love it.
