Social Stamping Hello

The lovely Kelly Kent came up with the wonderful idea of creating a Social Stamping Blog Host due to the current situation around the world with Social Distancing and isolation.  It gives us a platform to share our creations with all of you.

I love that whatever is happening in the world, we can still craft and be creative.  The theme for this Blog Host is “Hello”.  I love that.  Although we may not be able to see people face to face like we would like to, it’s really important to still touch base with people whether it be via phone, skype, video message etc to check in and say “hello” and see how they are doing.

I decided to use the Best Dressed Suite as I thought it was perfect for a hello and to let someone know that they are fabulous.  I started with a Petal Pink card base and then used a piece of DSP from the Best Dressed DSP that is in Purple Posy.  I used the Detailed Bands Dies and cut this out in Purple Posy also and then stamped the sentiment from the Dressed to Impress stamp set in Petal Pink before cutting it out using the oval die in the Detailed Bands Dies.

In regards to the elements around the sentiment, these are a combination of images I stamped from the Dressed to Impress stamp set (perfume bottles, lipsticks and shoe) and then coloured in with my Blends™ and added a little Wink of Stella to add that little extra sparkle before cutting them out using the All Dressed Up Dies.  The handbags were cut out of the coordinating DSP.

Next up is Angela with her cheery hello card.

Click on the image below and that will take you to Kelly’s blog with the full list of participants if you’d like to get lots of inspiration from some very talented people.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. If we can’t dress up and go out, then the next best thing is a card all dressed up – right?! So fabulous! Thank you for joining the #socialstamping Kelly x

  2. What a beautiful card Michelle! Your colouring is gorgeous, as usual! And who can live without a touch of Stella?? Fabulous!

  3. Loving the layers on your card, it makes so much more impact than if they were just stamped on a single layer
