CTC265 – Lovely Lily Farewell

Welcome to the first week of CTC265 where we are CASEing the second release Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

I chose to case the “From the bottom of my heart” card on page 7 for a farewell card for one of my colleagues who was leaving.

I started with a Balmy Blue Card base.  I then took a piece of Vellum which I cut the width of the card and then on an angle.  As I don’t have the So Very Vellum Specialty DSP from the second release SAB catalogue, I decided to run the Vellum through the Big Shot in the Subtle Embossing Folder to give it some texture.

I used the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set and the Lily Pad Dies (both from the original 2020 SAB Catalogue) to replicate the flowers on the original card.  For the flowers I used Rococo Rose for the outline of the image and Blushing Bride for the inside.  For the lily pads I used Old Olive for the outline and Pear Pizazz for the inside colour.  As it is a Reversibles™ stamp set, the inside colour doesn’t quite match the outlined image as it isn’t symmetrical.  If you don’t want this look, you could use a Blender Pen with some of the same ink colour to fill in the few areas that didn’t have any ink like I have done here.

Next up is Tina.  Make sure you keep hopping around to see all of the Design Team’s creations for this week.

Why not join in with our challenge?  You have two weeks to add your entry to our Facebook page.  We would love to see it.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle

  1. I love how you’ve CASEd this. The angle works very naturally with the pond and lilies and adds so much interest. Great colour combo and I love the white twine as a finishing touch. 🙂 Siobhan.
