CTC262 – Buy the Shoes!

Whether you have hopped on over from Rose’s creation, or are starting here with me, welcome to the second week #CTC262 where we are CASEing the Koala sketch from page 34 of the January to June 2020 Mini Catalogue.

For the second week of this challenge, I decided to push the sketch a little more and started off by flipping it on it’s side.  Next up, instead of the large rectangles, I decided to add the “shelves” as the rectangles on my card.

I started with a Purple Posy card base and then layered it with the DSP from Best Dressed DSP.  I then stamped multiple show images from the Dressed to Impress stamp set and then cut them out using the coordinating All Dressed Up Dies.  I coloured some of the shoes with Pool Party, Bermuda Bay & Highland Heather Blends™.  For the patterned shoes, I used the flower and spotty images from the same stamp set and stamped this over the shoes before colouring the heel/inside of the shoe with Blends™.

I finished the card off by heat embossing the sentiment in White Embossing Powder.

The next design team member on this week’s hop is Rebecca.  How will the design team use this sketch for the second week?  There’s only one way to find out.  Keep hopping around until you’ve done a full circle.

There is still another week to join in this challenge of CASEing the sketch from the Koala card on page 34 of the January to June 2020 Mini Catalogue.  Make sure you share your creation on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. Love how you created the three shelves as your panels! Very cool…. oh and I can’t decide between the Purple Posyor the Seafoam shoes… maybe I’ll get both 😜
