CTC259 – Case Anything

Whether you’ve hopped on over to my page from Judy’s lovely creation or are starting here, welcome.  I hope you enjoy the design team’s last hop for 2019 and that you get some great inspiration from our projects.  Don’t worry, we’ll be back in 2020 but we will all be enjoying a well deserved break for a few weeks.  This week our challenge is to CASE anything from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.

With so many projects to choose from, I wondered where to start, however as it is the end of the school year,  I decided to incorporate this week’s challenge to be part of my son’s end of year teacher’s gift.  I cased the star ornament on page 10 of the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.

I started with a Coastal Cabana base that I cut out using the Layered Circles Dies and then added a mat of Coastal Cabana DSP from the Follow Your Art DSP which I cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  The large star was cut out using the Stitched Stars Dies from the Feels Like Frost DSP.  I then scored the star from each point into the centre of the star and lightly fold this so that it gave a raised star.  I adhered the Coastal Cabana small star to the centre of the larger star.  I then cut out the flourish pieces to go next to the inside points in Sparkle Glimmer Paper.

On the reverse I cut out another circle in Whisper White and then stamped the sentiment from the So Many Stars stamp set in Coastal Cabana, along with the two stars in stamped off Coastal Cabana and stamped off Smoky Slate inks.  I finished the ornament/decoration off with my son’s name & year so that his teacher had this as a momento of the year.  I stuck the two large circles together with some Baker’s Twine in between so it could be hung.

Next up on the hop is Siobhan.  I’m sure you will see a lot of variation this week in the Design Team’s creations seeing as we are CASEing anything from the Holiday Catalogue.

With so much to choose from this week to case, why not give it a go?  We’d love to see what you come up with.  Please share it on our Facebook page.

Until next time, happy stamping
