Whether you’ve hopped on over from Siobhan’s Brightly Gleaming creation or are starting here with me, welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty. This week we are CASEing the colours from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP and using the layouts on page 30 as inspiration.
As I don’t have the Brightly Gleaming DSP, I chose to use some of the colours from the DSP – Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla and Copper. The only one I didn’t use was Mossy Meadow. I also used the layout of the card in the top right of the image above as my inspiration and starting point, but then changed it up a little. I took the DSP as the background, a mat with the sentiment and the ornament images I swapped for the stars.
I started with the Night of Navy card base, then added a mat of Pretty Peacock which I repeatedly stamped the grouped star stamp from the So Many Stars stamp set in Versamark then heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.
I used the Nested Stitched Label Dies for the sentiment and mat. The stars were also heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder and then cut out using the Stitched Stars dies.
Next up on the hop this week is Peta. I wonder what Marvi thought of her creation this week. Keep hopping around and check out all of the design team’s projects.
Even if you don’t have the DSP, you can still join in with the challenge by using the colours from it like I have. Click on the image below to go to the Challenge Facebook page and share your creation with us. We’d love to see it.
Until next time, happy stamping
Michelle
Just have to love those stars, they’re lovely.
Great card Michelle, I love how the nested dies really highlight the sentiment
Love your starry creation, Michelle. This is such a great colour combination. Your DIY DSP is gorgeous. 🙂 Siobhan.
