CTC250 – Case a Layout

Welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty where we are casing a layout from page 46 of the Holiday Catalogue for #CTC250.

I decided to case the layout of the brown card in the middle on the right in the image above.  I decided to keep the overall layout the same but switched up colours, stamp set, images etc coming up with a card more suited to Spring than Autumn.

I used the Daisy Lane stamp set and started with a Mint Macaron card base and stamped the leaf image repeatedly in Mint Macaron ink. For the banner panel I used Calypso Coral cardstock and stamped the small daisy flower image randomly across the panel in Versamark so it was a bit more subtle.

I cut out a Whisper White circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies and then used the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks with Mint Macaron ink and a sponge dauber to create the circle background.  It was a bit too white though, so I then used a sponge dauber and put a little Crumb Cake ink over the top of the white sections to tone it down a bit.

The flowers are made using the Medium Daisy Punch and punching out 4 of each colour, two of each with the stamped image from Daisy Lane stamp set and the other two unstamped. I then used a bone folder to curl up the edges a little and layered all 4 on top of each other before finishing the off with a Gold Faceted Gem in the centre.  For the smaller flower, after stamping and punching the flower image, I then attached a post it note to the flowers to reach into the middle of the 1″ Circle punch.

The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set which I heat embossed with White embossing powder and cut out using the Rectangles Stitched Dies.

Make sure you keep hopping around to see all of the fabulous creations from our design team this week.  Next up is Peta.

We’d love to see the creations that you come up with using the layouts on page 46 of the Holiday Catalogue.  Please share them directly on our Facebook page. Click the image below to head straight to the CASEing the Catty Challenge Facebook Page.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. I love all the background stamping you’ve added to this – especially the use of the mask on the stitched circle. Your colour choice is gorgeous (much nicer than the brown one in the catty, lol). You’ve made me want to pull the daisy punch out for a play. Gorgeous CASE. 🙂 Siobhan.
