Today I’m sharing a card that I made for one of the ladies at work who is leaving to start a new job. She had been working with us for the past 2 years or so as a temp and now it’s time for her to start a new adventure elsewhere after securing a permanent role.
I didn’t want to create a normal “Good Luck” card so after looking through my stamp sets for a suitable sentiment, I decided that “time for a new adventure” from the Well Said stamp set would be perfect for the card and then worked from their to create the card.
The Sailing Home stamp set was the perfect stamp set to go with the sentiment. I started with Shimmery White cardstock and stamped the lighthouse and 2 boats. I did a watercolour wash using my aqua painter and Balmy Blue ink for the water and Pear Pizzazz ink for the grass. I then used my sponge dauber with Pool Party ink for the sky. The boats were coloured in using Blends™ (Highland Heather, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake & Soft Suede).
She loved the card which was great and I wish her all the best in her new job.
