CTC227 – Retiring Tropical Chic Bundle

Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Challenge. Whether you are starting here or are hopping over from Shannon’s page, I hope you get lots of inspiration from the projects that the Design Team have created this week.

This week we are CASEing our Favourite Retiring Bundle. I started looking through the annual and occasions catalogues and came across a bit of a dilemma (well it is actually a good dilemma as it means a lot of my items are carrying over!). At least one item out of all the bundles own was carrying over, so I ended up using the Tropical Chic Bundle as technically it is retiring as a bundle so if you don’t already have it, make sure you get it by the 3rd June 2019 so you can save the 10%!

This was a quick and easy card to make. I started by making a square card base of Shaded Spruce that measured 10.5 x 21cm folded in half and then added a mat that measured 10 x 10cm of Tropical Escape DSP. I inked the images in Granny Apple Green and then used a sponge dauber with some Shaded Spruce ink to add some ink to either the inside or outside of the image before stamping it.

With my second card I inked the images in the same way and cut them out using the Tropical Thinlits  dies. The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set and I stamped this in Blushing Bride ink on Blushing Bride cardstock before running it through the big shot with the Stitched Nested Labels dies (from the upcoming 2019-2020 annual catalogue) and the Subtle Embossing Folder.

For my third card using the same bundle, I decided to mix it up a bit in regards to colours and style. I used a Pumpkin Pie card base and took a square piece of Whisper White cardstock which I then sponged to create the sunset background with Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze inks. I then layered this behind the black card front after cutting the panel image out with the die. I then finished it off with the leaves at the bottom.

Remember, if you love this stamp set and dies, don’t wait until the new catalogue starts on the 4th June 2019 and pay full price, purchase them today by contacting me and you can get them with the 10% bundle discount.

Make sure you keep hopping around to see all of the other projects using the retiring bundles.  If you want any of the bundles, don’t wait, get them today.  Some will be gone forever and others will lose the 10% discount once the new catalogue begins.  Next up on the hop is Monique.

Why don’t you create your own card or other project using one of the retiring bundles?  Which one will you miss the most?  Make sure you share your creation on our Facebook page by clicking the image below.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle

  1. ❤️❤️❤️ I love the two tone sponged leaves as well as your sunset. These are all divine cards. What a great bundle.

  2. Such a dilemma! I’m glad this one is carrying over and have resolved to use it more during the next catalogue period. Your cards are fabulous inspiration – thanks for sharing! Kelly x
