CTC226 – Case a Layout

Welcome … whether you have hopped on over from Monique’s creation or are starting here with me, I hope you enjoy all of the creations the Design Team has to share with you this week.  As we are coming to the end of the current catalogues, over the coming weeks we will go back and revisit some of our favourite layouts, products, stamp sets and bundles.  Today we are Casing a layout from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.

I decided to case the Life’s too short to say no to cake card at the bottom of page 28 of the Occasions Catalogue.  Ok, so I may have used a little poetic licence when it comes to my final card as I swapped a few of the elements around.

You may recall a card I made about 6 weeks ago that used the Grapefruit Grove Embossing Paste background.  I still had a piece of this background sitting on my desk, so I decided to use it for my background on this card rather than the checked background.  I still used the 3 Rectangle Stitched Framelits images but swapped up the locations and used the birthday cake image from the Piece of Cake stamp set, rather than the Amazing Life stamp set.

I finished the card off with some 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon in Grapefruit Grove instead of the baker’s twine.

Next up on the hop is Rachel with her great Classic Garage card which is perfect for the men in our lives.

This week you have a wide range of layouts from the entire Occasions Catalogue to case.  If you make a card that fits this challenge, make sure you add it to our Facebook page, no blog required.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. The grapefruit background is awesome! I love how you have adapted this layout and the different cake image too.

  2. Pretty card Michelle, I used that layout for a previous challenge it is really fun with those rectangles.
