CTC223 – Welcome Little One

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Design Team blog hop.  Whether you are starting with me or have just hopped over from Tina’s page, welcome.

This week we are CASEing the Classic Garage section of the Occasions catalogue on pages 42-55. As I’ve used this suite a lot over previous weeks, I decided to case one of the other cards in this section, the yellow congratulations card on page 51.

As one of my work colleagues became a nanny for the first time last week, I decided to make this card for her. I started with a Blushing Bride card base and used two pieces of matching Blushing Bride DSP from the Tropical Escape DSP pack for the panel section in the middle.

It’s been a little while since I’ve used the Animal Outing stamp set, but it was perfect for this occasion. I stamped the kangaroo/koala image in Memento ink and then coloured this in with my Blends™. I used light and dark Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green and Pool Party. I then cut this out using the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, stamped the sentiment in Blushing Bride and used the smallest circle to cut this one out.

I hope the new “nanny” likes the card.
