CTC218 – SAB Butterfly Birthdays

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Design Team blog hop.  Whether you are starting with me or have been hopping around the wonderful creations from the rest of the team, welcome.

This week we are CASEing the Sale-a-bration Catalogue again.  With the second release of Sale-a-bration goodies available, I decided to case one of the images from this new mini brochure.  I have used the Painted Seasons gift bag as my inspiration and turned it into a card.

I started with a Highland Heather card base and added a mat of the beautiful Botanical Butterfly DSP (which is free with any $90 purchase during Sale-a-bration).  I’ve also used another freebie from Sale-a-bration, the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets which I cut into a banner by cutting up from the bottom in the centre of the strip and then cutting from the corners to the centre.

I cut the Vellum circle out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. “Happy” comes from the new Well Said stamp set and “Birthday” from the matching Well Written Framelits Dies.  This is a great bundle which can be used for many different occasions and I can see myself using these a lot.  The card was all finished off with a bow of Baker’s twine.

It’s quite a simple card to make but the combination of the DSP and Foil Sheets definitely brings it to life.

To get lots of tips and inspiration, make sure you keep hopping around.  Next up on the blog hop is Rebecca.

If you have created a card or other project which matches this week’s challenge, please share it with us on our Facebook page by clicking the image below.  No blog or business Facebook page is necessary.

Until next time, happy stamping

  1. Sometimes I love minimal to no stamping projects… and yours is stunning. Need to pick up some of those foil sheets.

  2. Ooo I love a bag turned into a card (and vice versa)! This is a great CASE. The grapefruit grove foil looks so good with the butterfly dsp – I hadn’t thought of putting those together. Thanks for the inspiration!
