Today for #CTC217 we are caseing the Happiness Blooms section of the Occasions catalogue which can be found on pages 24-33. I decided to case the gift box which is at the bottom of the challenge image or you can see a closer look at it below.
First up you will be able to see that I have taken the gift and turned it into a card. They used the Happiness Blooms DSP to wrap the present. Rather than using DSP on my card, I decided to make my own using the Oh So Eclectic stamp set on Whisper White cardstock. I used the 2018-2020 in colours – Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel. I then layered this onto a Blueberry Bushel card base.
I made two variations of this card using the same elements but used different orientation and sentiment. I cut out a small mat using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies (I think I am using these on most of my cards lately as they just add that little bit extra with the stitching) from Blueberry Bushel cardstock. These stitched framelits are definitley my new favourite item! I stamped the flower in Grapefruit Grove and the leaves in Call Me Clover and then cut them out using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.
I wrapped the Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain Ribbon around my handmade DSP 3 times before adhering the stitched rectangle with flower and sentiment.
