Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Design Team blog hop. This week we are back to CASEing the Sale-a-bration catalogue for #CTC216.
For the challenge this week, I decided to case the little “Hoppy for you” froggy card below. I decided to keep a lot of the elements but may have moved them slightly, changed colours, changed the stamp set etc, but essentially you should be able to tell that I cased this card.
Although I still haven’t inked up my froggy set, I decided to use the Postcard Pals stamp set from the Annual Catalogue which I loved as soon as I saw it, but again hadn’t inked it up either. I used the Blends™ to colour the platypus in using Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay. I then used the light Pool Party and light Smoky Slate to add a little colour around the edge of the image to make him stand out a little more. I then cut this out using the Stitched Rectangles Framelits and trimmed the right edge to make it straight.
The Bermuda Bay card base was stamped on using Versamark and the leafy, reed image from the Incredible Like You stamp set to create the background. The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock and cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Add a bit of Baker’s Twine, a few dimensionals for the sentiment and you are done.

Until next time, happy stamping

I have not seen this set coloured in the colours you picked before – stunning! A perfect colour combo 🙂
Aww! So cute!
Oh, he’s just adorable Michelle. Love the changes you’ve made to create a gorgeous card. Kelly x
The colours make such a change from the original. Great colouring! What a fun card.
Who doesn’t love a platypus, he’s so cute. Great CASE Michelle.
Your card is fabulous, Michelle and a great CASE. Love the colours you have used.
Positioning the art piece in a ‘different’ unexpected spot really changes up a card I think. Love your platypus!
