CTC210 – Sale-A-Bration

I was so honoured to be asked to join the Caseing the Catty Design Team for 2019.  I was lucky enough to be a guest designer last year, so I didn’t have to think for very long before saying yes!

You may be starting the hop with me or you may have come from the very creative Kelly Kent.  Isn’t her work amazing?  Make sure you continue hopping around to get lots of inspiration.

For the first challenge in 2019, we are caseing the Sale-a-bration Catalogue. I had a 40th birthday card to make for one of my friends so I decided to use some of the products available in the Sale-a-bration Catalogue (which only started a few days ago) to create it.  I cased the purple butterfly card on the left of this image.

I kept a few of the elements and then made it my own by adding and changing a few things.  I started with the Highland Heather card base and layered it with some of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and then a layer of Vellum on top of some of the DSP.

I added a piece of Highland Heather Organdy Ribbon (also free during Sale-a-bration).  The butterflies come from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set which is from the new Occasions Catalogue and then punched out using the Butterfly Duet Punch.  The butterflies were stamped using Calypso Coral & Grapefruit Grove (stamped off) and Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather (stamped off).

Here is the inside of the card (sentiments come from the new Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set)

Next up in the hop is Siobhan.

Why not join in the challenge yourself? Just click on the image below and post your card in our Facebook group page.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
