Sending Well Wishes Your Way with Dandelion Wishes

Life throws you curve balls and life gets crazy busy at this time of year, so today I’ve cased Megumi with these Dandelion Wishes cards.

I started with the Basic Grey card base, added a mat of Powder Pink and then a further mat of Basic Grey.  On the Basic Grey mat I stamped the dandelion image from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed using White Embossing Powder. I then coloured the embossed images using the light and dark Blends™ which gave a subtle coloured image. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment comes from the Special Celebrations stamp set and was also stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  It was then cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and layered onto a Powder Pink piece cut out using one of the scalloped dies from the Layering Circles Framelits.

I repeated the same prices using a few different colours. This one is using the Pool Party Cardstock and Pool Party Blends™.  It uses the “Sending well wishes your way” sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.

My third colour combination is using Mint Macaron with the Basic Grey. They are all subtle colours but look great teamed up with the Basic Grey.

I really enjoyed making these cards and can certainly see myself trying this technique of colouring the White Embossing Powder with Blends™ using other stamp sets. Why not give it a go yourself? I’d love to see what you come up with.
