Autumn has come early … Onstage – time to celebrate!

Well, it’s time for Onstage again and I’ve been looking forward to this one even more than the others I have been to previously.  Why?  Not only do I get to catch up with fellow demonstrators from around Australia or get a sneak peek at the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogues, this Onstage we will be celebrating 30 years of Stampin’ Up!

For our team swaps I decided to use the Colourful Seasons stamp set and created a card in Autumn tones.

I started with a sheet of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the leaf image repeatedly over the entire sheet with Versamark and then heat embossed them in Clear Embossing Powder.  I then grabbed my trusty sponge daubers and Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody and Crushed Curry inks and sponged the various inks over the page.  I used a tissue to wipe off any excess ink from the leaf images.  I then sprayed the background with Copper Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol in a Spritzer.  It’s really hard to get a good photo to really see the true shimmer.  Can you see it?  It looks so much better in real life.

The card base is in Cajun Craze and then I layered the background I created on top (1/2cm smaller on each side). The leaves were cut out using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits in Pumpkin Pie & Crushed Curry cardstock.  I then sponged the edges of the leaves with Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.

The sentiment comes from the Rooted in Nature stamp set and was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed using Copper Embossing Powder.

The card was finished off with some 1/4″ Copper Trim and a piece of Cajun Craze card run through the Corrugated Embossing Folder and cut into a banner.

I hope everyone receiving them likes them.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
