Fairytale Weddings

I thought I would share a scrapbooking page with you today as I know some of you like to scrapbook rather than making cards or 3D items.  I created this page using photos from my sister’s wedding from a few years ago and it fitted the fairytale theme perfectly.

Let me break the page down a little so that you can see how I created the page.  Let’s start with the text for the heading and footer.  I used the Letters for You and Labeller Alphabet stamp sets. I stamped these onto Wood Textures DSP to add a bit more of the vintage look.  The “happily ever after” piece was stamped with the leaves and flowers from the Around the Corner stamp set in Wild Wasabi and Powder Pink.

I created the castle using Crumb Cake card stock.  I then coloured the White Embossing Paste with Soft Suede reinker and created the brick work using the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. I then cut this up into strips for the towers and a square for the front of the castle. I cut the door out of the Wood Textures DSP with a circle Framelit for the top and finished it off with one of the new Basic Brads for the door handle.

I used the Stitched Label Framelits for the hearts on the castle and the journaling card, the frame behind the smaller photo and a border around the larger photo. These dies are so versatile and I can see them being used a lot on various projects I make.

I hope you enjoyed this page I have shared today.  Make sure you come back soon to see what else I’ve been up to.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
