Mother’s Day

I know that Mother’s Day was a week ago, but I thought I would still share these cards with you that I made for Mother’s Day.  They can easily be adapted for a different occasion.  They utilise the Springtime Foil DSP that you may have received free as a Sale-a-bration item, so don’t leave it in the cupboard, get it out and create with it today as it creates a really effective background.

I have used the sponge brayers with Sweet Sugarplum ink to create the ombre background. The sentiment comes from the new Rooted in Nature stamp set, which will be available on the 1st June, and was cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The leaves were stamped in Sweet Sugarplum, Lovely Lipstick and Tranquil Tide and then cut out using the Nature’s Roots Framelits. The Tranquil Tide leaf was made using the embossing die and the framelit.

Here is a second card I made using a different sheet from the Springtime Foils DSP, the sponge brayer and Peekaboo Peach. The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment comes from the retiring stamp set, Teeny Tiny Sentiments. The flower from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set was stamped in Peekaboo Peach and cut out using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies.  The leaves were also cut out from Wild Wasabi cardstock using the same dies.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
