A Magical Birthday

This week I decided to make a “Magical” birthday card for my team leader at work.  I used the CASEing the Catty Challenge #172 Myths and Magic as my inspiration to this card, choosing an image from pages 36-43 of the Occasions Catalogue.

I chose to CASE the wizard gift bag on page 36 but turned it into a card.  I kept pretty much to the same layout and colours.

Using one of my current favourite stamp sets, Magical Day, I set to work colouring the wizard image with the Rich Razzleberry Blends.

I started with a Fresh Fig card base and layered a piece of Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper on top.  A piece of Shimmery White Cardstock was cut out using the oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and I stamped the star image repeatedly in Basic Grey.

I stamped the sentiment twice.  Once in Basic Grey on Whisper White card stock and a second time in Versamark on Basic Black cardstock and heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder.

The card came together easily, but my team leader loved it.

Until next time, happy stamping

Michelle
